Office Toilet, this morning.

Office Toilet, this morning.

Do you guys find this request funny?  It does sound funny when translated to my mother- tongue Malayalam.

Happy 2010 everyone.

Long time. Been lazy to blog, been working out, lost 3 kgs, happy with my new broadband connection, been meeting old pals, been busy being busy and deeply saddened by the news that a time punching machine is going to get installed at the office :)

X’mas outing.

We went for an outing from office yesterday at Ramada. There were 19 of us including Georgy’s family.  Truely enjoyable it was, but being a 24/7 office we had to carry a few laptops and wi-fi internet stuff along, but being sunday, there was hardly any work, Thank God :) . The pool there is awesome and I am thinking about going back there once a while on sundays. I am uploading some pics on my orkut Guys.

At the end of the day our small group split off in Mohan’s car. Deepak accepted a No gracefully when we invited some of our beautiful friends for a coffee with us. No coffee, so we changed our plans and went off to the beautiful Wellington Island.

First Time Swimming??

I was at the pool today after a gap of more than a couple of months. Besides my swimming classes that I couldn’t complete, I am still not a good swimmer. The time I went there today, was the time for regulars and there was this 15 years old kid whom I think was watching me struggling with the water and came next to me and asked, “First time swimming?” . I said yeah and he started giving me tips on swimming. However, after about half an hour I sneaked out of the pool and got into the smaller pool nearby which is for kids :)

By the way, I dont believe that swimming is the one of the best forms of exercise like they say unless you are an exceptionally good swimmer.  Confirming my doubts, the regulars at the pool, even kids, was all overweight and all flab around their body.

Humanity wins.

I know that an ambulance with its sirens blaring means someone is struggling for his life, but the way how the whole traffic give way to it generously is a beautiful sight.   Its always good to see people acting together for a good cause, however small the cause is. I saw about 5 of them today.

By the way, pulling over to give way for an ambulance is not just a courtesy, its the law . You can get booked by the police or beaten by the public  if you don’t :)

A day of full of pain :)

Guys, I joined a gym yesterday and I woke up from the sleep today with an aching back, legs, shoulders and pretty much everywhere. I couldn’t even roll over to the other side of the bed or climb down the stairs without the pain. Being used to taking push-ups  at home almost daily,  I never expected this.  Feels good though :) I am looking at losing 5 kgs in 6 weeks which one of my fitness freak friend said very much possible. Wish me luck folks!!

Heart speak :)

Ever since she came back, everything else in my mind has taken a backseat.

2012

Went for the movie 2012 today with some of my good buddies.  I rarely go and watch movies in a movie theatre, but this one,  I wanted to watch, cos I’ve been always curious about the whole ‘End of the World’ thing. The 1st half of the movie, is fantastic. The latter half, I noticed the cinemascope colour changed to the normal TV screen colour giving an effect of watching a TV show.  I had almost forgotten the name of John Cusack, good to see him back too.  The 1st half is splendid with all those building falling down and all.

You too Manoj!!

Manoj has started blogging too. Folks, visit him at  http://manoos.info . There is a story about him in one of the older posts on my blog here which  I am 100% sure he doesn’t want you guys to read (there is a shocking picture of him too with it, which was taken while we were working at the same office). Man, manoj, just let me know if you would like me to put the link to that picture here :) .

Travelology.

Back after a gap. I`ve been lazy and wasting time.  So the latest news is that I took my bike for service after the two  little accidents I had recently.  This time I am gonna have to claim the amount from the insurance company.  And guys, the only thing I am not going like about it is that  its going to take about 7-8 days until I get my bike back.  But there is a good side to it that I like-  I am gonna either have to use Dad’s car or use the bus.  I enjoy bus rides - travel in peace without worrying about the traffic on the road,  enjoy the scenery, no helmet, and 8-10 days are not gonna bore me out of these things.  And I am gonna have to better myself on time management too (something that I am terribly bad at) since without my own ‘mode of transportation’ I won’t have that, what they call,  ‘Time Freedom’ for the next 8 days.  Wish me luck guys. :)

P.S :- This  guy, Senish, at the service center was extremely helpful, helping me make up a single ‘technically sound’ accident story, (explaining how the front and the back of the bike was hit)  to present in front of  the Insurance Company since they  have issues with multiple accident cases generally :)
